BALL HANDLING Ball Handling drills are stressed at Teaches Basketball Camps. Players learn many drills which focus on ball control, hand-eye coordination and court recognition. Drills show are Front-Back (upper right), Dribbling Figure Eights (bottom left) and Around the World (bottom right). Ball handling drills are practiced every day and are used in the obstacle course competition on Championship Friday! |

CONTESTS There are many contests held throughout the week where players have the opportunity to compete for prizes based on their scores. These contests stress fundamentals such as shooting, ball handling, speed, agility and fun! Peter Betley takes a shot during a championship game of the Taps contest (upper left). Coaches and Campers get ready for an intense game of Knockout (lower left). Joey Spadafino gets set to shoot a free throw. Each camper shoots 100 free throws each week. The highest scorers compete for prizes on Championship Friday!

CHAMPIONSHIP FRIDAY All the hard work throughout the week takes center stage on Championship Friday. Taps, Free Throw and Thunder and Lightening champions are crowned. Special awards are given to the All Camp Team or the Championship Team. Finally, Camper of the Week Runner Up and Camper of the Week prizes are awarded. Camp Director Dave Greiner talks to the campers before he begins the award ceremony (right). |
