NBA Star David Lee Camp |
Our first New York Knick David Lee camp at the Bell School in Chappaqua was a huge success. Open to boys and girls ages 7-15 we hosted 175 participants. David Lee had a huge presence as he made the effort to attend every day of camp despite his hectic schedule of daily team workouts with the Knicks and promotional appearance demands. He really enjoyed the chance to hang out with his fans and make his camp #1 in Westchester County. |

David assisted in shooting drills, ran a station demonstrating pivot work, also participated in a fastbreak drill blocking shots and playing defense. Another highlight was the day he brought in Nate Robinson. The kids were playing moneyball and they each jumped on a team and squared off in the competition. By coincidence David and Nate's team finished in a tie. David also led the awards ceremony handing out all the awards on Championship Friday. |
We were fortunate to have great sponsors. VitaminWater was the camp drink and Nike provide the T-shirts. The Knicks also supplied some nice souvenirs for the awards ceremony. |

The NBA stopped by to film the camp which was on the nba.com website and now can be seen on the David Lee player profile. The NBC show "Breakfast with Tiffany" also sent a camera crew and interviewed David , as did the local high school based station. |
Every camper had one item one item signed by David as well as receiving a basketball, T-shirt, water bottle and bag. |

The overall feedback from attendees was exceptional and we would like to thank the New Castle Parks and Recreation for their help as well as Coach Chris Ward and Ural Hogans for running and outstanding camp! |
Hope to see everyone back for August 11-15 2008 at the Bell School. |
